Revolver: What about Zakk Wylde?

Ozzy Osbourne: "He's fucking nuts! It depends on a lot of things. He'll probably be with me. I don't know at this point. I really want to find someone to write with, too."

Revolver: Have you held any auditions?

Ozzy Osbourne: "I tried out that Buckethead guy. I met with him and asked him to work with me but only if he got rid of the fucking bucket. So I came back a bit later and he's wearing this green fucking Martian's-hat thing. I said, 'Look, just be yourself!' He told me his name was Brian, so I said that's what I'd call him. He says, 'No one calls me Brian except my mother.' So I said, 'Pretend I'm your mum then!' I haven't even got out of the room and I'm already playing fucking mind games with the guy. What happens if one day he's gone and there's a note saying, 'I've been beamed up?' [Laughs] Don't get me wrong, he's a great player. He plays like a motherfucker!".

Blackstar HT-Blackfire Gus G Guitar Distortion Pedal

Blackstar HT-Blackfire – The HT-BLACKFIRE is the first artist signature product by Blackstar, developed with influential guitarist Gus G. (Ozzy Osbourne, Firewind). Joe Satriani posts NEW song online

Joe Satriani's new single, "Light Years Away", is available for free download at this location in exchange for a tweet or a Facebook post.

"Light Years Away" comes off "Black Swans And Wormhole Wizards", Satriani's 14th studio album, which was produced and recorded by Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Metallica) and Satriani, and is set for release on October 5, 2010 through Epic Records.
Veteran Satriani bandmate Jeff Campitelli joins Joe on drums, while newcomers, keyboardist Mike Keneally (Frank Zappa, Steve Vai) and bassist Allen Whitman (Mermen) are adding their expertise to the mix. Satriani's classic sound also carries a surprisingly rich texture of new material as well.

First single, "Light Years Away", the first single on the 11-track album, is destined to hit big, with several other high energy offerings, like "Wormhole Wizards" and "Premonition". Satriani's world tour promoting "Black Swans" will begin in this fall, kicking off on October 16 in Dublin, Ireland with the North American dates starting on December 1 in Atlanta, hitting cities such as Chicago, New York, Boston and more (a second January 2011 leg to be announced).

Nada contra meu querido amigo/vocalista do Cardiac. Talvez seja esse um dos sons que mais aprecio no nosso CD. Mas quando gravamos esse som, para mim, foi algo surreal. Ja passava de 3am e eu teria de acordar as 8am no dia seguinte. E nada nascia da nossa cabeça para completar/fechar esse som. De repente, em um ou dois takes, os timbres e riffs se explodiram e BOOM!

Uma tempestade de sentimentos, de transições, de momentos, de stress, de euforia ou até de paz. Uma tempestade vital.

No entanto, toda vez que a ouço me bate aquele sentimento de show com 20-30 pessoas. Aquele que você está frente-a-frente com o público, consegue escutar todas as conversas -- mas, na verdade, todos estão "conversando" com você. Jogo na mesa, adoro shows assim.
